I picture thee

I picture thee by a summer stream
Through eyelids closed I picture a dream
A rainbow hoist in a perfect arc
Flowers in blossom in a fragrant park

I picture thee by an autumn fall
Crisp gold leaves where trees stand tall
Breeze like a whisper circling around
Leaves in flight fall to the ground

I picture thee by a winter’s freeze
Crunching snow, a red nose sneeze
Flakes of snow gently descend
Captured within the touch of a friend

I picture thee by a spring in shade
Colours explode around you in fade
Scents of buds, dandelions a float
Sweet verses written in a flowered note

I picture thee by fantasy’s thought
In dreams for which I wonder in sought
Till moments arrive by fate you’re brought
I picture each season in visions of thought.
